Celebrating the RMCOEH's New Facility & the Reveal of the Eddie P. and Karen Mayne Education Center

I was overjoyed and speechless at the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational & Environmental Health’s opening of their new facility and with the reveal of the Eddie P. and Karen Mayne Education Center! Countless seeds of support were planted in the name of workers’ safety and wellbeing—protecting workers and ensuring that safety was paramount in the workplace was always Ed’s highest objective throughout his life. Cutting the ribbon to open the new facility was a commemoration to my husband, to my children, and to the legacy and obligation to care for others.

It has continually been my promise, hope, and destination to preserve the spirit of compassion when it comes to the protection of workers and the commitment to healthy, safe, and vibrant workplaces which are free from preventable harm and fatalities. It is so critical we continue this journey and remain good partners and champions for healthy occupational conditions.

The RMCOEH cultivates essential research to improve the health of workers and provides occupational safety and health degree programs amongst other remarkable missions. This new facility is absolutely a beacon of safety, and I am so honored for the naming of the education center which will embody and support the community.
