Senate Committee agrees: Teenagers should not use cell phones while driving

SB 128, which would ban teenagers from using cell phones while driving, successfully passed out the  Senate Transportation and Public Utilities and Technology Committee today, on a 3 / 2 vote.

“I”m pleased that the bill will continue through the process. ¬† It’s not only about kids not using their cell phones while driving, but also about parents having a conversation with their kids about safety while behind the wheel,” said Senator Romero.

The bill now goes to the Senate for a vote.
